HAMAM GREEN PUTHAANDU AIMS TO HELP NATURE #STARTSTRONG

  1. “Green Puthaandu” is a Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) initiative (the “Initiative”). HUL includes, for the purpose of this, the agency and representatives appointed by HUL for this Initiative. HUL’s iconic personal care brand Hamam has launched an Initiative, to help Nature #StartStrong this Tamil New Year;
  2. The initiative, powered by The Hindu Group, aims to increase the green cover in Tamil Nadu by planting 1 Lakh trees, preferably Neem trees, over a 7 week period, starting on Tamil New Year on April 14, 2017 and concluding on World Environment Day on June 5, 2017. This initiative aims to reverse the loss of green cover due to Cyclone Vardah that hit Tamil Nadu this past January;
  3. As part of the Initiative, we will move beyond planting the trees and continue to monitor the health of each tree for up to 6 months to give it the best chance of survival;
  4. As part of the Initiative, HUL encourages the people of Tamil Nadu to give a missed call to 92225 92225 to join this endeavour to harness the power of neem to help nature #StartStrong this new year;
  5. People in the coastal districts of Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Villupuram, Thirunelveli, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Pudukottai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur can join Hamam in planting neem trees on ground at the designated sites;
  6. HUL will celebrate the superheroes who participate in the Initiative by naming a neem tree after them, and will share the location with them so that they may keep track of their tree;
  7. People outside the above districts may support the activity by planting a tree at their respective district place and may share a details / photograph with us.
  8. This Initiative is available in the State of Tamil Nadu Only. Domiciles of Tamil Nadu above 18 years of age will be entitled to participate in the Initiative;
  9. By participating in the Initiative, Participants agree to these terms and conditions and any such other terms and conditions which may be added/amended from time to time;
  10. The Participant is required to fill in all the details as may be required and submit the same. HUL will scrutinise the entries and may contact you back;
  11. HUL reserve the right to disqualify any entry that do not meet the requirements and terms and conditions of this Initiative. This include entries submitted with invalid and incorrect information;
  12. HUL reserves the right to withdraw this Initiative or any part thereof, at any time and without any communication to such effect, and the decision shall be final in all matters with respect to the Initiative;
  13. By entering the Initiative, participant agrees that no claim relating to any losses or injury(ies) (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against HUL or their parent organizations, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind resulting from the Initiative, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage;
  14. By participating in this Initiative, participant grants HUL the right to publish, broadcast and use in any media, including the World Wide Web, Participant’s entry, name, picture, and likeness for promotional and advertising purposes without any compensation;
  15. The participant represents and warrants that all the information, details, pictures and other contents that he submits and/or uploads are true and genuine. The participants further submit that all such information, pictures, contents etc. are his/her original work and that it does not violate any existing or future intellectual property right of any third party, and the participant agrees to indemnify and hold HUL and other agencies, members indemnified in case of any claim in this regard;
  16. HUL reserves a right to check, verify, authenticate the data submitted by the participants;
  17. HUL reserves the right to disqualify any participant or entry for the participating in the Initiative if the information, pictures, contents submitted or uploaded by the participant is not guanine or original or the participant has entered with a fake Facebook or other social media account(s);
  18. The Initiative and the promotion of the Initiative is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook or other social media. HUL reserves to pull down any uploads done by the participant;
  19. The participant constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these official rules which shall be final in all respect;
  20. The participants agree that they can be contacted by HUL or the agency appointed by HUL for any promotional activities, sales, surveys, consumer researches, or such other activities, via e-mail, sms, phone or such other means, without any further permissions in this regard. If the Participant wants to opt-out from receiving future communications, the same can be done by sending an email at hamam.puthaandu@gmail.com with the subject line “Hamam Green Puthaandu - Opt Out”;

  22. The Initiative shall be subject to any Local, State, Central or community laws;
  23. All disputes pursuant to this Initiative shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai.
